Responsible for: Maintenance, Development and Site services.
Based at Oakham
Purpose of Role
To effectively manage the Maintenance, Development, and Site service teams to ensure plant / equipment availability, reliability and performance.
To lead, manage and further develop a team of over twenty engineering colleagues, engaged in the maintenance of Injection moulding machines, automation and ancillary equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide a safe and effective reactive maintenance response to unplanned breakdowns.
2. Maintain an effective planned maintenance program.
3. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for our manufacturing processes - thru monitoring production data and root cause failure analysis.
4. Manage maintenance and capital expenditure budgets.
5. Effectively manage spare part procurement and stockholding levels.
6. Identify and justify yearly capex projects - needed to keep the plant running at budgeted levels of performance.
7. Maintain relationships with key suppliers and sub-contractors.
8. Participate in safety, production, management and planning meetings.
9. Manage capex/ project procurement, installation and handover process.
10. Participate in maintaining a safe working environment and advocate safe working practices are always adopted by employees, including the management of contractors whilst working on site.
11. To comply with all company rules, regulations and procedures and promote good working practices throughout the workforce.
12. Continue to further develop the engineering team with internal and external training.
13. Oversee that the site complies to all company / UK health and safety legislation, in terms of inspection, servicing and remedials of buildings, plant and equipment.
Injection Moulding experience
Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics -HND/Degree level
