As an Engineering Manager, with a focus on Quality, you'll be responsible for managing a team of QA Engineers, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, and driving both personal and professional growth. You'll work closely with the QA engineers and other engineering teams to ensure that we have appropriate testing and ensure that our platform scales to handle a rising global and cross-cloud traffic and demand.


You will also be responsible for designing and building automated testing and reporting systems, in conjunction with our engineering, SRE and QA teams, to ensure that we have the tooling and reporting required to understand the quality of our systems.

Requirements

You will be an established Senior Engineer with a diverse Backend focused skill set and a desire to manage people as well as build software. You will have a passion for ensuring that we release good quality software and ensuring we build well understood and well tested software.


You will be able to understand and reason about a complex distributed system with a comprehensive data processing API, the ability to process a wide range of complex input data types, and the capability to query that data with a SQL-like query engine.


We are looking for people with a focus on our customers, a genuine passion for problem solving, coding, and who enjoy being challenged. An interest in Data Science would be an advantage but is not essential. Experience with working in agile teams and CI/CD environments is beneficial.


We prioritise aptitude not knowledge, although we would like to see experience of solving large and complex problems in an application development domain. We look for people that can add value to our teams in a multitude of ways and we champion the idea of collaboration, so we look for individuals who can work in smaller, focused teams but can tackle any challenge presented to them.

Go Typescript React GraphQL Protobuf gRPC PostgreSQL Redis Kafka Docker Full CI and fully automated deployments using Kubernetes and Ansible to multiple cloud providers

Currently we have automated and semi-automated testing implemented using:

Cypress K6 Playwright In House testing frameworks in Python and Go
