Key Responsibilities include:

A key member of the integrated project team, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, with responsibility for managing multi-disciplinary resources to provide solutions that meet client and other defined stakeholders requirements. Maintain effective working relationships with other Authorities/Organisations.

\xc2\xb7 Introduce best practice into engineering design and management delivery.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure that H&S risk assessments are carried out as required under the CDM regulations.

\xc2\xb7 Assist in the overall delivery of the project by the team.

\xc2\xb7 Assist Continuous Improvement of safety and performance.

\xc2\xb7 Establishing, maintaining and communicating the engineering design programme, budget and work breakdown structure.

\xc2\xb7 Identifying and agreeing with Heads of Departments and others as appropriate a comprehensive resource requirement for the engineering design of the project to budgetary targets.

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring project personnel undertaking engineering design duties meet the requirement to be Suitably Qualified and Experienced Persons (SQEP). This includes the generation of Project Competency Check Forms and their subsequent submission to the Senior Engineering Manager (for verification).

\xc2\xb7 Establishing and maintaining the engineering configuration to ensure the intent and integrity is maintained throughout the project life.

\xc2\xb7 Integrating and co-ordinating the engineering design activities of all disciplines, departments and other suppliers of engineering design contributing to the project.

\xc2\xb7 Monitoring and reporting to the relevant parties the quality of engineering across all disciplines.

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring that designs are compliant with statutory requirements and technology transfer.

\xc2\xb7 Identify potential projects and opportunities.

\xc2\xb7 Plan, budget, organise, direct and control tasks, people and resources. Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:

\xc2\xb7 HND or Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline or a Professionally Registered Engineer.

\xc2\xb7 Membership of an appropriate Institute.

\xc2\xb7 Extensive experience of managing and co-ordinating a multi-discipline engineering resource in a nuclear or highly regulated environment.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of statutory regulations and codes of practice including CDM.

\xc2\xb7 Experience of design configuration control.

\xc2\xb7 Extensive experience of managing client organisations.

\xc2\xb7 Skills

\xc2\xb7 Must be a sole UK national.

\xc2\xb7 Must be at able to achieve SC/DV clearance.
