Job Description

We are currently seeking a proactive, highly organised and hands-on Engineering Project Manager to support the team with the delivery of machine projects, from conception through to completion.


This is an engaging role that would fit a highly driven, hands-on professional with a solid background in both project management and engineering within machine building. It will be essential to understand the concepts of commercial project management, as well as a background in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will be an excellent and confident communicator, able to manage and coordinate a project with many work packages and stakeholders, as well as take a hands-on approach when engaging with the Engineering and Production teams.

Role Responsibilities



Lead the successful delivery of complex machine build projects, collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams. Manage all phases of projects from sales handover to machine completion and installation Ensure projects are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality, cost, and time Regularly meet with project stakeholders to provide and collect detailed updates, and provide project reports Develop strong relationships with clients, as well as all internal and external project team members, ensuring smooth liaison between all key stakeholders Manage the efficient delivery of project team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards Work closely with the production team, taking a hands-on approach and supporting with machine build as required Collate, distribute and manage all project documentations Manage the completion of all CE documentation, alongside any other required bodies such as UL and UKCA Work closely with the QHSE Manager to ensure completion of thorough risk assessments relating to all aspects of each project Oversee the collation of the customer documentation package Maintain updated job logs and record all operations accurately within Epicor Oversee issues and risk logs Assist departmental managers with resource planning and management Create and manage SOP's and process documents for role related tasks Occasional visits to international sites, as required by project delivery

Skills and Competencies



Essential



Commercial Project Management experience Hands on Engineering or technical experience CAD system experience Confidently able to use project management tools Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office Experience of working with ERP/MRP systems

Desirable



AutoCAD (Inventor and Vault) experience Epicor experience Project Management qualification, such as Prince 2 Engineering qualification
