Are you a meticulous Project Planner with a passion for shaping the future of rail infrastructure?

At Give Thameslink Railway (GTR) We're looking for a forward-thinking individual to join our Planning & Delivery team, ensuring complex enhancement projects are delivered on time, in scope, and in line with national rail standards.



Reporting to the Engineering Planning and Delivery Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring enhancement activities across our entire estate are meticulously planned and executed. You'll ensure all activity aligns with operational requirements, Railway Group Standards, and other statutory obligations -- enabling the seamless delivery of our train service, maintenance, and cleaning/servicing operations.

Key Accountabilities




Create and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and milestones. Monitor progress, analyse risks, and provide clear reports including critical path and earned value analysis. Incorporate change controls and communicate schedule impacts effectively. Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, including Network Rail, throughout planning, tendering, and delivery phases. Ensure compliance with Railway Group Standards and maintain accurate planning records for audits and reviews.

What We're Looking For




Proven experience as a Project Planner in the rail or infrastructure construction sectors. Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards, regulatory frameworks, and construction methodologies. Experience planning across multi-disciplinary rail environments (e.g., civils, signalling, electrification). Ability to interpret project data, communicate risks, and provide actionable insights.
