GTR - Engineering & Asset Management
Ready to lead safety across one of the UK's most complex rail engineering environments?
GTR is looking for an influential Safety Systems & Standards Manager to drive safety performance, strengthen our Safety Management System, and lead a team of Safety Specialists making a real impact across our fleet depots.
What You'll Do
Lead all occupational, operational and engineering safety matters across Engineering
Own and develop safety management systems aligned with ISO standards
Deliver safety investigations, audits, improvement programmes and change initiatives
Provide expert advice to depot leaders and drive consistent safety performance
Manage a team of 10 Safety Specialists and support incident response
Shape a culture of openness, high engagement and continuous improvement
What You'll Bring
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) + Risk Assessment qualification
IEMA Foundation + Internal Auditor qualification
Strong knowledge of ISO, SMS and audit processes
8+ years' experience in a safety management environment
Experience in rolling stock engineering or similar high-risk sector
Confident leader, strong communicator, skilled problem solver
