The Opportunity: Engineering Services Manager

Location: Tottenham


We are based in North London and have been providing material handling solutions ever since we established ourselves in 1994. Now with more than 25 years' experience, we are the leading forklift supplier for London and the South East. Hiremech is part of The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. The Impact you will have:

Create a safe and secure working environment for our engineers. Manage engineers to increase travel and work efficiency. Identify and resolve LTR/AIM R&M overspends. Maintain compliance in all areas, including engineering work, H&S and audits. Deliver maximum external revenue to targets. Demonstrate commercial awareness and deliver this to the engineers. Manage and approve overtime through the CST Controllers Ensure suitable technical support is available to, and used by the engineers Authorize and control engineer training. Motivate the engineering workforce. Create a work environment which will assist Hiremech to becoming the employer of choice. Drive and maintain the highest standards within the engineering group. Hold regular one to one reviews with the engineers Identify and design succession planning for the team.

What will help you to excel in this role:

Significant line management experience IT Skills Effective Communication skills Ability to engage with customers Clear communication at all levels Substantial experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload Substantial direct sales experience, ideally capital goods equipment or logistics, preferably within the Materials Handling industry Ability to influence and persuade
