We are seeking an experienced
Engineering Shift Leader
to oversee the engineering team in a busy food manufacturing environment. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll coordinate maintenance priorities, troubleshoot production machinery, and ensure your team delivers efficient, safe, and reliable operations.#
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead the engineering team during your shift, ensuring all maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently. Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Maintain
health and safety compliance
and promote a safety-first culture. Diagnose machinery faults and support team members in problem-solving and root-cause analysis. Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inventory usage. Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and adherence to best practices. Contribute tocontinuous improvement initiatives
within the engineering department.#
What Were Looking For
Proven experience in an engineering role with
supervisory or leadership responsibilities
, ideally in food manufacturing or processing. Strong technical knowledge ofmechanical and electrical systems
with hands-on troubleshooting skills. Excellentleadership, communication, and team management
abilities. Ability toprioritize multiple tasks
in a fast-paced production environment. Commitment tohealth and safety regulations
and promoting a safe working environment. Flexibility to workshifts, including nights and weekends
. Strongproblem-solving skills
and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.#
