To maximise the performance of the engineering shift resource so the factory is capable of highest levels of accurate output. To contribute to the factory team in a positive and proactive manner.
Main Responsibilities.
Minimise downtime through close attention to regular maintenance of equipment
Ensure a prompt response to breakdown or plant failure
Assist the factory management team as far as possible to achieve objectives on waste reduction, productivity, throughput, quality etc.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and operating procedures and those Company/customer technical standards are maintained. Attend health & safety meetings. Carry out safety inspections.
Ensure all repartees are adequately trained and skilled.
Manage the shift within budgetary constraints.
Contribute to the construction of a planned preventative maintenance programme.
Maintain Engineering Job Order system and keep accurate maintenance records.
Manage shift team to encourage good spirit and positive attitude.
Maintain Company Technical Standards at all times with engineers and contractors.
Administer staff payment and attendance register accurately.
Deputise for Engineering Shift Manager as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Knowledge/
Experienced qualified engineer with electrical or mechanical experience.
Numerate and computer literate.
Good interpersonal skills.
Proven supervisory skills.
