Engineering Teacher - January Start Location: Northampton Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent Salary: 36,000 - 42,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)Are you a passionate and skilled Engineering professional ready to inspire the next generation of engineers?We are working in partnership with a leading Further Education college in Northampton to recruit a dedicated Engineering Teacher for a January start. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a well-established and forward-thinking engineering department that places strong emphasis on practical skills, innovation, and learner progression.The Role:Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across vocational Engineering programmes (BTEC, T Level, or equivalent)Teach a range of units within mechanical, electrical, or general engineering, depending on your specialismPlan, assess, and provide effective feedback to support learner achievementContribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiativesPrepare students for progression into apprenticeships, higher education, or employmentWhat We're Looking For:A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)A relevant Engineering qualification at Level 4 or aboveRecent industry experience or prior teaching experience within the FE sectorA learner-focused, inclusive approach to teachingStrong communication, organisation, and teamwork skillsApplications are welcomed from both experienced FE lecturers and industry professionals looking to transition into teaching.
