The Opportunity





To lead the engineering function on shift, supporting the sausage and deli production facilities by ensuring machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely, enabling the achievement of production targets.



Lead and coordinate the shift engineering team to ensure smooth factory operations. Perform and oversee planned preventative maintenance and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns. Collaborate with production teams to meet daily operational targets and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, part usage, and shift handovers. Manage contractors on site and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Strong electrical and mechanical engineering background; multi-skilled preferred. Formal engineering qualification: Minimum City & Guilds Part 2 or NVQ Level 3. Experience working independently and managing tasks to deadlines. Committed to hygiene and safety standards in a food production environment. Proactive approach to training and professional development.
