Engineering Team Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Engineering Team Leader to join our Terminal Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing one of our four shifts, providing 24/7 engineering support across all areas of our site. This role requires a proactive leader with strong people management skills and the ability to prioritise and manage both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in a demanding operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:



People Management:

Lead and support your engineering shift team in line with company policies.

Shift Management:

Oversee one of four shifts, ensuring 24/7 engineering support.

Task Prioritisation:

Review and prioritise maintenance tasks in accordance with SLAs.

Scheduling:

Plan and manage shift schedules and workloads based on technical and business priorities.

Stakeholder Communication:

Liaise with operational and technical managers, keeping stakeholders updated on ongoing issues.

Third-Party Coordination:

Effectively utilise and coordinate third-party support to assist with service restoration when required.

Leadership:

Demonstrate company core values and leadership principles, upholding regulatory and company standards.

Team Development:

Contribute to the training and professional development of your team.

Asset Management:

Use asset and facilities management systems to ensure accurate recording of technical activities.

Tool and Spares Oversight:

Provide oversight of tool control and spares management processes to ensure sustainability is maintained.

Safety Implementation:

Implement company safety policies and processes to ensure a safe working environment.

Continuous Improvement:

Contribute to initiatives aimed at achieving the highest standards of service.

Administrative Processes:

Complete all technical and business administrative tasks to maintain accurate documentation.

Security Compliance:

Ensure all security arrangements and policies are implemented and maintained.

About You:



Proven experience within a technical role. Strong people management and communication skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workloads effectively. Commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Proficiency in using asset and facilities management systems.
