Engineering Team Leader

As Nottingham gear up for the opening of their new site in June 2026, we are looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join the team. This is an exciting time to join us, and a pivotal role for us in supporting the Engineering Manager in facilitating a smooth transition in to the new site.
You will be involved from the start- setting up, commissioning machinery, visiting suppliers and travelling between our current and new site. It will also involve spending time at one of our other sites where you will learn from their Engineering Manager.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with the shift operating on a rolling 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, which will include days and nights.
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Engineering Team Leader to manage and support our on-site Engineering Team. In this vital role, you will ensure the smooth running of all engineering operations, providing effective maintenance and technical expertise to prevent breakdowns and maximise uptime across the site.
You will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing your team to deliver high standards of performance, safety, and reliability - supporting our commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Your new role

• Managing, motivating and mentoring the engineering team on site in line with KPI and budgetary targets, ensuring the team delivers effective fault diagnosis and repairs to support a demanding operational environment;
• Managing any contractor activity on site, liaising directly with engineering suppliers;
• Ensuring all equipment operates to the required outputs through the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities;
• Ensuring standards are maintained for all work carried out and appropriate records are completed and signed-off.

Requirements:
About You
You're an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment. You have strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and the technical know-how to lead by example on the shop floor.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Recognised qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering (electrically biased).
Strong understanding of controls and preferably networking systems.
Proven experience in a high-speed manufacturing or production setting. * Experience of supervising and motivating a team.
Excellent communication and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
A self-starter with high standards and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
In addition, you will need proof of Right to Work in the UK.
