Introduction to Infrata
Infrata is a globally operating consultancy advising private investors (including industry sponsors, investment funds, banks and bond investors) on demand, commercial, technical and ESG aspects of large and complex transport and infrastructure projects.
Infrata has recently been acquired by dss+, enabling us to leverage our combined strengths to deliver even greater service to our clients. This acquisition aligns with dss+'s broader mission to drive sustainable impact, improve risk management, and enhance operational performance for its clients across a wide range of industries. Together, we look forward to a future defined by innovation, growth and continued success.
The Transport Infrastructure practice is highly experienced and provides advisory services across multiple modes, including maritime, aviation, roads and rail. The practice focuses on areas such as transport asset and network transactions, business and operational optimisation, traffic and demand forecasting, route and network development, and economic and regulatory analysis. Our clients include blue-chip investors, infrastructure owners and operators, public authorities, and financial institutions, and we typically work at a senior level within client organisations.
What will you be doing?
Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of due diligence and technical advisory reports for lenders and their legal advisors, as well as leading and assisting on engagements related to lenders' technical advice, due diligence, and construction or operations-phase monitoring across a range of transport infrastructure assets.
The role also involves drafting sections of reports and other client deliverables, contributing to the preparation of commercial proposals, and playing an active role in marketing, business development, and client relationship management. In addition, the position supports the development of new tools and methodologies to enhance the efficiency, consistency, and quality of project delivery across maritime, aviation, road and rail engagements.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline such as civil, structural, geotechnical, pavement, or traffic engineering, construction management, transport planning, or economics, with experience or interest across transport infrastructure sectors including maritime, aviation, roads and rail. You will demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in English being essential. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French or Spanish, is considered a strong advantage.
A commercially minded approach, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and secure repeat business, is highly valued. The role also requires a willingness to travel, and knowledge of PPP procurement, project finance, and transport infrastructure investment structures would be highly desirable.
Given the international scope of this work, proficiency in additional languages is advantageous. The ability to communicate effectively across different regions and cultures will support collaboration with global clients and stakeholders and enable the delivery of tailored, locally relevant solutions across diverse transport markets.
Job location
The role will be based in Infrata's central London office near Bank Station. The candidate may be required to undertake short business trips overseas to meet with clients and visit project sites across different transport modes. Given the geographic diversity of projects, working hours may occasionally need to be flexible to accommodate client time zones, for example when participating in conference calls from London.
