As a

Technical Expert

, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our facility's equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead maintenance strategies, troubleshoot major breakdowns, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your strong technical expertise will be crucial in managing both GMP and non-GMP equipment, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing effective corrective actions. Although this role doesn't have direct reports, this is considered a leadership position, therefore we are looking for someone with strong leadership attributes who takes accountability, drives action and works collaboratively.

Key responsibilities:



Technical leadership of specific area/s you will be responsible for equipment performance an improvement. Working alongside the Operations team and taking a lead role in directing efforts of assigned technical resource as applicable Leading comprehensive root cause analyses for equipment failures and implementing highly effective corrective and preventative measures. Designing, executing, and continuously enhancing maintenance programs and standard operating procedures to achieve optimal equipment performance. Leveraging cutting-edge reliability-centred, predictive maintenance, and condition monitoring tools to ensure exceptional asset performance. Establishing, managing, and nurturing strong relationships with service providers, while regularly conducting thorough supplier appraisals.

Knowledge, skills & experience:



Successfully completed engineering apprenticeship with further education to HNC/D or post graduate level (preferred) Computer literate with strong written and verbal communication skills and change management experience Experience in a similar role from the manufacturing sector - pharma or food industries preferred. Proactive and action-orientated self-starter with the ability to influence and negotiate.
