Principal Functions
To assist the Operations and Technical units in providing an efficient and effective civil engineering and project management function to maximise the company's profitability.
To assist the Operations and Technical units in planning and delivering construction projects, including surfacing and highway related activities, in a safe, sustainable and economic manner.
Provide support to the Operations and Technical units in administrating, planning and preparing site projects including the procurement of resources. The resources include operational personnel, construction plant and vehicles, materials and sub-contractors.
Ensure that all project documentation comply with the company's ICT technical, administrative and management systems, which include health and safety, environmental, quality and performance.
Your focus will be on delivering a quality service to our clients in a sustainable, efficient, cost effective and safe manner, and fostering an effective working relationship with our supply chain partners.
Principal Responsibilities
Undertake your duties in compliance with current health and safety and environmental legislation.
Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of current health and safety, and environmental requirements.
Administer project documentation in strict compliance with all relevant Company systems and policies.
Assist the Operations unit in preparing documentation and resources in readiness for works to be carried out. This includes collating and issuing job specific documents such as works order, risk assessments and method statements, and placing orders for materials, construction plant, and specialist subcontractors for activities such as traffic management, road markings, and ancillary works.
Input and maintain job information within our ICT based management system including health and safety, environmental, quality and performance data such as safety inspections, waste records, product and service non-conformities, and third-party claims.
Maintain accurate information within our ICT based management system of all internal and external resources including, labour, vehicles and plant, materials and subcontractors.
Communicate with our clients to provide project information in a professional, positive and courteous manner in both Welsh and English.
Promote and foster effective and co-operative working arrangement with the company's clients and supply chain partners.
Promote the reputation of the company through its core values of quality and service to its customers within a safe working and sustainable environment.
Undertake training and development in accordance with the company's training and development policy to maintain knowledge and understanding of current practices and requirements relevant to the post and the company's activities.
Driving is essential for the role.
Administration experience is needed and construction knowledge would be preferred.
