Michael Page have been appointed to recruit for an permanent Engineering Technician (Mechanical Bias) opportunity based around East London. We are proud to be partnering with a long standing business who have recently experienced a period of growth.

• Analytical survey of control equipment, both mechanical and physical: Penstocks, Valves & Actuators.
• Isolate, dismantle and inspect valve / actuator parts, including moving parts and lubricants.
• Examine and report any defects with regards to the valves, actuators, and pipework.
• Report any abnormalities.
• Supply details, measurements, and full descriptions of any components that require replacement.
• Install and commission supplied equipment and all associated apparatus.
• Work as part of a team where health and safety demands.
• Carry out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled in a timely manner.
• Lifting of access covers and all associated components from ground level to an approximate depth of 10m once certified using the appropriate tools
• Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions.
• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

Location: East London Area|Salary: Up to \xc2\xa350,000 dependent on experience

• Essential - Minimum Mechanically qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or industry equivalent.
• Preferable - Knowledge of Actuators, Valves, associated equipment.
• Nice to have - Experience in MIG Welding
• Full driving licence
