We are seeking an Engineering Workshop Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the welders and fabricators in preparation and handling of materials, as well as packaging and deliveries. The ideal candidate should have the ability to read engineering drawings and be confident in the use of hand tools and other equipment and machinery. The role requires excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to meet deadlines. Responsibilities


- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Preparation of materials and components, using equipment to Measure and cut to precise measurements
- Use a range of machinery and hand tools to complete tasks
- Assist with Deliveries and Collections, including packing deliveries and unpacking goods in and loading and offloading deliveries
- General tidying of workshop and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes

Requirements & Skills


- Previous Fabrication experience is essential
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication
- Competence using various hand tools and machinery used in metal fabrication

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations

- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and problem-solving

- Good communication skills

- Willing to learn new skills
