Stairlifts Scotland Ltd is a small family business based in Glasgow specialising in the installation, repair and maintenance of stairlifts, hoists and bathing equipment. Experience would be an advantage, but not a necessity. In house and manufacturer led training programmes will be put in place for the successful candidate to both refresh existing skills and develop new ones.
The position is full time generally (8.30am -5.30pm Mon- Fri) but the post holder is expected to be flexible to fit in with the needs of our customers. We provide an emergency call out service to all our customers which includes weekends and bank holidays, and this is covered by a rota system. Due to our company growing, overnights in further away locations for installations would be expected when required.
*Emergency callout service would only apply if you had a driving licence.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Good problem-solving skills and fault-finding experience
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Requires some heavy lifting, so candidates should be fit and healthy due to the nature of some installation sites
- Responsible for using small power tools, hand tools etc.
- Assists engineer with the installation of stairlifts/track hoists and other lifting equipment.
- Assists store person with repairs, preparation work, this may involve moving and handling stock.
- Assists in dismantles defective machines/equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
Mandatory:
Full Clean driving license (preferred but not mandatory)
