English Graduate Teaching Assistant - Lewisham - Immediate Start

The role of an English Graduate Teaching Assistant:

• Work closely with students aged 11-18 who have a range of SEND needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
• Support teachers in creating inclusive and engaging classroom environments.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to personalised learning plans.
• Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to ensure every child receives the care and guidance they need.

What we're looking for:

• A 1st Class or 2:1 degree in English from a leading UK university.
• A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting those with additional learning needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy and patience at the core of your approach.
• Any experience working with children or vulnerable individuals - whether through tutoring, youth work, mentoring, or volunteering - is highly valued.
• A long-term commitment and a passion for pursuing a career in education.
