Job description

We are currently looking for Tutors from English and Humanities subjects, to form part of the international tuition team.

The position will primarily tutor English and Humanities to secondary age students in year 7 - 13. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, helping them master the curriculum and enhance their critical thinking skills.

Starting the position in August 2025

, the full-time (40 hours) paid posts will require a baseline of 25 hours of tutoring per week, working Monday - Friday (5 days). Non teaching hours will include, but not limited to, planning, setting homework, travel, administration tasks, and working collaboratively with fellow tutors and academic staff.

Full in-house training will be provided.

The successful applicant will be joining a team of Oxbridge & Russell Group alumni, who contribute to the teaching and learning of students with Carfax Education.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2:1 English or Humanities Degree from Cambridge, Oxford or Russell Group University Open to learning and teaching different educational curriculums (British, American, IB). Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Preferably 1 year tutoring experience Excellent communicator - personable, calm, patient, and versatie Proactive, adaptable, and eager to take on new challenges Success driven - excited and motivated to succeed, able to take the initiative. Attention to detail - constantly strives for excellence in every detail. Organised - able to plan well, prioritise and stick to deadlines.
