Job Purpose
The English Language Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to undergraduate business students (Levels 4, 5, and 6). The role focuses on developing students' academic and professional communication skills, supporting employability, and ensuring alignment with program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language sessions, tutorials, and lectures tailored to business students.
Teach academic writing, presentation skills, business communication, and critical reading at undergraduate levels.
Design and adapt learning materials to suit various student learning styles and program requirements.
Support students in improving their English proficiency for academic and workplace contexts.
Conduct formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students.
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of English for Business modules.
Collaborate with business faculty to integrate English language support into subject-specific learning.
Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and quality assurance processes.
Provide academic advising and support to students where necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
Teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, or equivalent) desirable.
Proven experience teaching English at university or higher education level, preferably to business or international students.
Strong understanding of academic English, business communication, and employability-focused teaching.
Ability to design and deliver learner-centered, interactive lessons.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Desirable Qualification
A Master's degree in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL/TEFL, or a related field (PhD preferred).
