Job Description
FSUK International College is seeking a sessional tutor to deliver face-to-face English Language & Literature teaching to international students at a high A-Level standard.
Programme details:
Duration: 8-week programme (October-November 2025)
Teaching Dates:
- Tuesday 7th October
- Wednesday 8th October
- Tuesday 14th October
- Wednesday 15th October
- Tuesday 21st October
- Wednesday 22nd October
- Tuesday 28th October
- Wednesday 29th October
- Tuesday 4th November
- Wednesday 5th November
- Wednesday 12th November
- Tuesday 18th November
- Wednesday 19th November
- Tuesday 25th November (8:30-12:50 - 13:10-17:30)
- Wednesday 26th November (8:30-12:50 - 13:10-17:30)
Times:
Tuesdays - 10:40 - 12:50 and 13:10-15:20
Wednesdays - 10:00-12:50 - 13:10-16:00
(split into morning and afternoon cohorts)
Total hours: 83 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Approx. 10 hours per week excluding the last week.)
Essential:
Minimum 2 years of English Literature / Language classroom experience Strong academic background in English Literature / Language (Bachelor's degree minimum) Excellent command of English grammar, vocabulary, and writing
Desirable:
Experience teaching international students
Key topics include:
Cross-cultural communication Review writing Creative writing Grammar Literature Branding & Business Report writing
What we expect:
Clear and engaging delivery of content Marking and feedback on homework assignments
Rate of pay: 35 an hour
