Ready to Make a Difference? Become an English & Maths Tutor with Chalkline Education!
We're on the lookout for passionate and inspiring English & Maths Tutor to join the Chalkline Education team this September in and around the
Rowley Regis
area.
Start ASAP:
We're currently looking for a tutor to begin right away for a
2-hour after-school assignment in Rowley Regis
, with sessions continuing into the new academic year in September. A great opportunity to jump in now and continue supporting the same pupils with consistency!
What You'll Be Doing
As an English & Maths Tutor, you'll deliver
face-to-face, one-to-one support
to pupils who need that extra boost. You'll plan fun, tailored sessions that help bridge learning gaps, build confidence, and re-ignite a love for learning. Whether it's building skills in English and Maths or just helping someone believe in themselves again -- you'll be at the heart of their journey.
Creativity, patience and passion are essential
-- and don't worry, we've got your back with ongoing support and resources to help you shine in your role.
What You Need to Get Started
To join us, you'll need one of the following:
QTS / PGCE / PTLLS / CTLLS / DTLLS
Level 3 AET
Level 3 TA or HLTA
If you're unsure, reach out -- we're happy to talk through your qualifications!
Flexible Hours That Work for You
You'll be paid
per hour of tutoring delivered
, based on the plan and needs of each pupil. We'll work with you to find a schedule that fits your lifestyle -- sessions usually run between
8:30 AM & 4:30 PM
, with some after-school options too.
We aim to keep sessions close to home -- but if you need to travel 30+ minutes, we'll have a chat about a offer
higher pay
to make up for it.
Where You'll Be Teaching
Every assignment is different! You might be teaching in a pupil's home, school, or a public location like a library. The goal is to make it comfortable and effective -- and we'll always confirm the details in advance.
Who You'll Be Supporting
Our pupils are typically aged 7to 16, and may include:
Children in care
Young people with SEN
Pupils who've fallen behind and just need someone to believe in them
Resources & Reporting
You'll plan each session using our internal tools and platforms like Twinkl or BKSB. After each session, you'll submit a short report and set SMART targets for your pupil -- nothing too heavy, just enough to track progress and plan ahead.
We'll provide:
A Chalkline email address
Access to shared Google Drive resources
Help if any sessions need to go online
