Join Our Team: English Teacher/Assistant Manager



Are you an enthusiastic educator seeking a multifaceted role that combines teaching, management, and making a positive impact on students' lives? The Learning Studio is in search of a dedicated individual to join us as an English Teacher/Manager. This unique opportunity involves working with small groups of students after school but also with Alternative Provision Students during the day. Your role can include management aspects of timetabling, resource management and exams administration.

Required:



- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification

- Average 20-30 hours per week (flexible schedule, pro rata)

- Experience in teaching GCSE; A-level experience is desirable

- Possession of an English-based degree

Desired Skills and Qualities



- Ability to teach small groups of students (up to 4 GCSE, up to 2 A-level)

- Proficiency in one-on-one instruction (training provided if needed)

- Enthusiastic and committed to facilitating student learning

- Strong connections or relationships with local schools

- Enhanced DBS will be required; however, we can facilitate the process

- Management experience

- Strong sense of motivation to achieve growth

- Experience with administration of and conducting exams

Management Responsibilities



The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and take on a key management role within our organisation. Responsibilities will include overseeing elements of our Alternative Provision programme, developing resources to support the programme, and delivering private tuition. The role also carries the responsibility of Exams Officer for our site; prior training in this area will be advantageous, though full training will be provided for the right candidate. We also offer opportunities for those wishing to enhance their management skills to gain additional qualifications.

Working with Alternative Provision Students



This role offers the rewarding opportunity to engage with Alternative Provision Students, providing tailored support to those facing challenges such as anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and more. All necessary training and resources will be provided, requiring only a desire to positively impact students' lives.

Conveniently situated in Ranmoor on Fulwood Road, our small-sized company offers a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We provide the resources and optimal environments for effective teaching and learning.

Additional Perks



- Comprehensive training, guidance, and support provided for both teaching and working with Alternative Provision Students

- Pro rata rate equivalent to (up to) 35,000

- Paid holidays include 5 weeks in the summer and 2 weeks in the winter. Additional weeks to be agreed in the contract to a max of 10 weeks. Start date: January 2026
