SEN English Teacher (Key Stage 3 & 4) - West London - September Start - Temp to Perm
A specialist SEN school in West London is seeking a dedicated and experienced English Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students with special educational needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about making English accessible and engaging for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
- Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that supports literacy development
- Assess student progress and provide tailored support to help them achieve their full potential
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to support student learning
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally within an SEN setting
- Strong behaviour management skills and a flexible, patient approach
- Ability to create accessible and engaging learning experiences
- A commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all students
- Ongoing professional development and SEN training
