About the role
Heart of Supply is looking for passionate and inspiring English Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. We're keen to hear from English teaching specialists who love bringing literature and language to life, and who can create engaging, inclusive lessons that spark curiosity and confidence in reading, writing and communication.
Whether you're an experienced English Teacher or an ECT at the beginning of your career, we have a variety of English teaching opportunities to suit your skills, preferences and goals. Roles are available across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for both full or part-time, short-term and long-term placements.
As an English Teacher with Heart of Supply, you'll be delivering creative and well-structured lessons that motivate students and help them achieve their full potential. You'll be joining supportive school communities that value high-quality teaching, consistency and a passion for education.

What you will need
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent UK secondary classroom experience teaching English
Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature, with the flexibility to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4
A confident and respectful approach to behaviour management, creating a positive and focused learning environment
The ability to build quick, positive rapport with students and colleagues, fostering engagement and enthusiasm for English
A proactive, adaptable attitude and a genuine passion for English teaching and helping students develop their literacy and communication skills
A minimum of 6 weeks' UK teaching experience (including placements)
