English Teacher Position Available from September 2023

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic English Educator specialising in Secondary? An exciting opportunity awaits you at our school in Newham! Tradewind are currently seeking a full-time English Teacher to join the English Faculty at the start of the new academic year.

This school is a thriving Academy, catering to students aged 11-16. With a student body of 1500 and exceptional facilities across all subjects, we have earned national awards and an Ofsted rating of Good, commending our exceptional leadership and behaviour standards.

Tradewind are on the lookout for a skilled and motivated English Teacher to inspire students and nurture their academic growth. Your passion for teaching English will drive you to engage, challenge, and guide students towards achieving high academic standards. Prior experience in teaching English language at both KS3 and KS4 levels is a prerequisite for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons that foster critical thinking and effective communication.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Employ varied teaching strategies to accommodate different learning levels and styles.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring excellent academic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methodologies and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Provide support to students with diverse academic and behavioural needs.

  • Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and similar platforms.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs, graded 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English, Maths, and Science.
  • An Undergraduate Education degree or a degree in English.
  • A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
