We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and qualified
A-Level English Teacher
to join our dedicated academic team. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding teaching in English Language and/or English Literature, inspire a passion for English, and support students in achieving exceptional academic results in their A-Level examinations.
Job Salary & Benefits
Salary: 32,000 to 35,000 per annum equivalent, dependent on relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and/or Literature following the A-Level syllabus (e.g., AQA, Edexcel).
Use a range of teaching strategies to promote active learning and student engagement.
Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing timely feedback to support academic improvement.
Prepare students for A-Level assessments, ensuring they meet and exceed their target grades.
Contribute to the development of schemes of work and the broader English curriculum.
Participate in academic meetings, parents' evenings, and open days.
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring as necessary to support student progress.
Maintain a well-managed and inspiring classroom environment.
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities in accordance with college policies and UK law.
Engage in professional development activities to continuously improve teaching practice.

Person Specification
. Master's degree in English with CELTA/DELTA
. Recognised UK teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
. Minimum 2 years of teaching English at A-Level or equivalent
. Proven track record of high student achievement
. Excellent subject knowledge and ability to inspire and challenge students
. Strong classroom management
. Excellent written and verbal communication
. Skilled in the use of digital learning tools (e.g., Google Classroom, MS Teams)
. Passion for teaching and learning
. Committed to continuous improvement and CPD
. Right to work in the UK
