About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students\' language skills, literary appreciation, and communication abilities. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, promoting active student participation and engagement. Your passion for the subject and your ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment will help students succeed academically and develop a lifelong love for English.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring English lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging active participation and intellectual curiosity.
  • Teach and assess a range of English topics, including literature, language, grammar, and writing skills.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, promoting their continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans, share best practices, and contribute to the development of the department.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as reading clubs, writing competitions, and literary events.

You will be a key member of the WMG Academy team, delivering outstanding teaching across KS4 and KS5.

This post is appropriate for NQTs. Full support and training will be provided throughout your NQT year and we recognise the challenges faced by Initial Teacher Training candidates who have completed their training during the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore further support, including reduced timetables, will be offered to all successful candidates to reflect this.
