Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their language skills, foster a love for literature, and encourage critical thinking. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement. Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and development. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and share best practices. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.

Requirements

A recognised degree in English, Education, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying abilities. Experience in teaching English at the secondary level is advantageous but not essential. A passion for literature and the English language with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in lesson planning and delivery.
