Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide educational support to students of various ages. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess the ability to communicate effectively, ensuring that each student receives personalised attention tailored to their learning needs. Experience in special education is a plus, as we aim to create an inclusive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities

Assess students' academic needs and develop tailored lesson plans to enhance their learning experience. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various subjects, ensuring clarity and understanding. Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes student confidence and engagement. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles, particularly for students with special educational needs. Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements, providing feedback as necessary. Stay updated on educational best practices and contribute ideas for curriculum development.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in a tutoring role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students and parents alike. Familiarity with special education practices is desirable but not mandatory. A genuine passion for educating others and helping students achieve their academic goals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in teaching approaches. Relevant qualifications in education or tutoring are advantageous but not essential. DBS Check required
