The role is primarily based in Richmond, with occasional classes taking place at outreach centres across the community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support adult learners in developing their literacy, confidence, and qualifications in English -- from Functional Skills (Entry Level to Level 2) through to GCSE English. You will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire learners to achieve their goals, whether that is progressing into further study, gaining employment, or improving their everyday communication skills. RHACC's courses run during the daytime from Monday to Saturday, and on weekday evenings.

This is a full time position, however applications for a 0.5FTE position will be considered*.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons across a range of levels (Entry to GCSE). Develop and adapt schemes of work and resources to meet diverse learner needs. Assess, track, and record learners' progress in line with college policies. Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners achieve their targets. Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment. Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum and teaching practice within the department. Participate in standardisation, moderation, and quality assurance activities.

About You

You will be a passionate and skilled teacher who believes in the transformative power of education. You'll have excellent subject knowledge, effective classroom management, and a flexible approach to supporting learners of all backgrounds and abilities.

Why Join Us?
