Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced self-employed English tutor to join our award-winning education company. This role involves delivering high-quality face-to-face tuition to students in the Selby, North Yorkshire area, with some sessions delivered remotely where required.

The successful candidate will be confident supporting learners across a range of abilities and will bring both subject expertise and a calm, engaging teaching style. While a sense of humour is welcome, a strong grasp of grammar, structure, and exam requirements is essential.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a degree-level qualification Possess QTS and/or PGCE Be an experienced teacher with proven classroom experience Demonstrate the ability to build positive relationships with students Be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
This role would suit a professional who values flexibility, enjoys working one-to-one or in small groups, and understands that sometimes teaching involves more than just explaining commas.
