About the role
You'll be teaching students one-to-one or in groups, online and in person. Our one-to-one lessons will be at the student's house or at our centre in Old Windsor. Our group classes are at the times and locations below:
Datchet
- Mondays, 4 - 6pm
Windsor
- Saturdays, 9 - 11am
Langley
- Thursdays, 6 - 8pm
Maidenhead
- Tuesdays, 4 - 6pm
You should be able to
travel easily to at least one of our centres
and live
within 30 minutes
. Please note, you
do not
have to commit to all four centres, you can choose to apply for one, two, three or all.
What we're looking for
Strong academic background -
GCSE (A or 7+) or A Level (A+)
in English.
Confident teaching English up to
GCSE or A Level
.
Ideally familiar with exam boards and literature e.g. Macbeth, An Inspector Calls
Ideally, some recent tutoring or teaching experience but not required.
Mobile and able to travel to student homes and our centres if required (a car is helpful but not essential).
Positive personality traits:
punctual, well-organised, approachable, and committed to supporting student progress

enhanced DBS check
- if you don't already have one, we will arrange this for you at a cost of
60
. This cost will be deducted from your first month's pay.
