As an Enhanced Production Assistant at First Hydro Company, part of ENGIE, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and operating our dynamic pumped storage plants in the breathtaking Snowdonia region of Wales. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and safety of our facilities, ensuring we continue to generate clean electricity for the UK.

What you will do


Provide scaffolding services across all First Hydro Company sites

Erect and dismantle scaffold structures in accordance with British legislation

Assist craft workers, technicians, and operators in their duties

Maintain excellent housekeeping standards in all areas of the power station

Perform routine manual tasks, minor repairs, and basic use of workshop equipment

Carry out environmental responsibilities, including monitoring and reporting

Conduct plant inspections and take readings where appropriate

Operate cranes, hoists, and winches, and perform basic rigging tasks

Keep accurate records of activities using our work management system


What you will have


CISRS qualified Scaffolder (minimum CISRS "Scaffolder" card holder)

IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent

Full driving license, crane driving license, and forklift truck license

MEWP Driver and PASMA Tower Erector certifications

Level 2 Rigging or equivalent qualification

Understanding of NASC TG20:21 code of practice for scaffolding

Knowledge of industrial safety and EH&S legislation (LOLER and PUWER)

Experience working as part of a Scaffolding Team

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively in a team environment


Job Based In


Snowdonia, Wales - On-site position at our pumped storage plant in Llanberis
