As the Enrichment & Activities Lead at The Maltings care home, you will play a central role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by delivering a meaningful, engaging, and cognitively stimulating programme of activities. Your work will ensure that every resident is supported to live a joyful and purposeful life, regardless of their physical or cognitive ability. Experience working with people with dementia is essential.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering a holistic enrichment programme that incorporates clinically proven interventions to promote wellbeing, memory care, and a harmonious living environment. This role works collaboratively with the Cognitive Outcomes Lead and fellow Activities Leads across other Fortava Healthcare homes to share best practice and maintain consistently high standards.

Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to design and deliver inclusive programmes that meet the needs of all residents.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with residents, colleagues, volunteers, and families.
The confidence and capability to lead group activities, coordinate volunteers, and engage external contributors where appropriate.
A proactive approach to promoting a positive and enriching culture that supports independence, dignity, and purpose.
High levels of self-motivation and professionalism, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a sound understanding of dementia care and the ability to engage residents across residential and nursing settings.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond effectively to changing priorities, resident needs, and operational requirements.
Proficient usage of IT - including emailing and evidencing all the work you are doing.
Experience/qualification in event planning, the arts, psychology is desirable.
