You will lead the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to deal close, working closely with our Solution Architects, Product Marketing, and Field CTO team to communicate Ververica's unique value in the real-time data ecosystem. Own the Territory
Drive new business and expand strategic accounts across the
UK & Ireland enterprise market
.
Build and execute strategic account plans that align Ververica's technology with customer initiatives and business value.
Develop a deep understanding of target accounts, their organizational structure, buying process, and decision-making dynamics.
Pipeline Generation & Sales Execution
Prospect and qualify opportunities through a mix of outbound activity, inbound follow-up, field events, and partner collaboration.
Own the full sales lifecycle: discovery, demo, evaluation, negotiation, and close.
Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Strategic Engagement
Engage technical and business stakeholders -- from Heads of Data Engineering to CIOs -- to evangelize Ververica's solutions and uncover compelling use cases.
Partner with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and Product teams to design impactful solutions and support seamless customer onboarding.
Champion Real-Time Data
Articulate the business value of real-time analytics and streaming applications powered by
Apache Flink
and
Ververica Cloud
.
Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers on how to modernize their data architecture using streaming technologies.
Market Feedback & Influence
Capture customer insights and influence product development by working closely with our Product and Engineering teams.
Represent Ververica at regional events, conferences, and partner engagements across UK&I.
Requirements
7+ years of enterprise software sales experience
, with a strong focus on
data infrastructure, analytics, or cloud platforms
.
Proven success in
closing large, complex enterprise deals
(six- and seven-figure ACV).
Demonstrated ability to
build and manage pipeline
, develop champions, and navigate complex enterprise sales cycles.
Strong familiarity with modern data architectures, streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark, etc.), or cloud-native platforms is highly desirable.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills -- both technical and business-level.
Self-starter with a proactive, high-energy attitude and a track record of
overachievement in quota-carrying roles

Comfortable working in a remote-first, fast-paced, and collaborative startup environment.
Based in the
UK
and able to travel across the
UK & Ireland
as needed for customer engagements and events.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling into large enterprises in
financial services, telecommunications, retail, or manufacturing
verticals.
Background in
data platforms, streaming analytics, event-driven architectures
, or similar.
Prior experience at a high-growth, developer-focused, or open-source-driven company.
Exposure to Apache Flink, Kafka, or Ververica Cloud is a strong plus.
