Job Title: Enterprise Architect
Location: Middlesbrough TS1 2DA
Duration : 6 Months
Work Type: Hybrid

The Enterprise Architect will maintain a holistic view of the organisation's ICT landscape - encompassing strategy, infrastructure, security architecture, processes, and assets. The role is pivotal in shaping and executing the ICT Strategy, managing technology roadmaps, and ensuring all solutions are integrated, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, influence, and maintain the ICT Strategy in line with organisational goals and strategic priorities.
Manage and evolve technology and security roadmaps, ensuring consistent and sustainable architecture.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure reliable, flexible, and secure ICT services.
Lead the governance of ICT solution design, procurement, and implementation in compliance with ICT policies and architectural standards.
Oversee annual assurance and compliance activities - including PSN, PCI, Cyber Security, ICT Health Checks, and Penetration Testing.
Prepare and present business cases and high-level proposals for strategic ICT initiatives.
Ensure effective financial, contractual, and service-level management with third-party suppliers.
Communicate technical strategies and decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within ICT operations and project delivery.
Key Skills and Attributes
Proven leadership in managing and delivering major ICT programmes or enterprise-level transformations.
Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of converting complex information into clear insight.
Excellent stakeholder management - able to engage with senior leaders, partners, and suppliers.
Deep understanding of Microsoft-based environments within the public sector.
Strong awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends (Horizon Scanning).
