Environment & Compliance Technician

to join our team based at our

Northacre Resource Recovery Centre (NRRC)

in

Westbury

. You will join us on a

full time, permanent basis

and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of

33,506.19 per annum

About the role:


As our

Environment & Compliance Technician

, you will be responsible for ensuring site operations are in compliance with Environmental permits and other associated environmental legislation, and with the Wiltshire Council Project Agreement, bringing any deviation to the immediate attention of the site management team.


Your key responsibilities as our

Environment & Compliance Technician

will include:


Conduct both on-site and off-site monitoring and assessments, including the collection of data, to demonstrate compliance with the above. Recommend and implement actions to ensure compliance if necessary.

Manage the technical operation of the biofilter and the collection of all appropriate monitoring data to ensure optimal efficiency.

Provide technical support in developing and implementing additional monitoring and reporting as necessary.

Manage third party monitoring and analysis of waste streams to ensure correct waste codes are used. Support the site operations team in assessing chemicals used on site (COSHH) Responsibility for purchasing goods and services related to environmental compliance

Provide the main technical support in identifying and minimising all environmental impacts from the facility, by making recommendations for improvements.

What we're looking for in our

Environment & Compliance Technician

:


Previous experience in a similar role - desirable.

Previous experience maintaining and reporting from an environmental database - desirable.

Familiarity with current waste legislation.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel).

Full UK driving licence.
