, with a clear succession path to the

EHS Manager

role over a phased and mentored period of time whilst the current postholder transitions into a Group Function.

About the Role



Working closely with the Group EHS Manager (based at Grimsby site) and site training team, you will, over time, take on increasing responsibility to ensure a smooth transition into the EHS Manager's role.

? Key responsibilities:



1. Support the site's Health and Safety Plan and ensure compliance with legislation

2. To ensure continuous improvement in H&S performance by driving H&S KPI's and implementing risk control measures and promoting a positive safety culture

3. Promote the reduction of the site's environmental impact and support The Organisation's ESG Program

4. Liaise with regulatory and enforcing authorities where required

5. Alongside the training department and production colleagues, regularly review all Risk Assessments and associated Safe Systems of work and undertake, where appropriate, to ensure they are communicated and trained out to colleagues

6. Liaise with HR on the provision of Occupational Health Surveillance

7. Carry out regular H&S and Environmental inspections and audits

8. Be involved in the site annual Insurance Surveys

9. Ensure compliance of Contractors and visitors alike to site H&S requirements

10. Support specific H&S and Environmental training requirements on site and ensure all accidents and incidents are appropriately investigated, documented and any arising actions closed out.

? About you:



With previous experience within an operations/manufacturing fast paced environment, ideally within food and with some experience of health and safety, you should be an effective communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels.

You should be NEBOSH qualified/willing to undertake NEBOSH cert as a minimum and have a legal and technical understanding of Health and Safety Regulations.

You should have experience of delivering impact and of implementing a positive safety culture and be comfortable in working in a fast paced, change orientated environment.
