Environment & Release Coordinator
The Environment & Release Coordinator plays a crucial role within the Environments and Quality team, serving as a key point of coordination between various technical and business stakeholders. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date environment plans and schedules, ensuring that all environments are available, stable, and configured appropriately to support development, testing, and production readiness activities.
Working under the direction of the Environment Manager, the Environment & Release Coordinator will facilitate communication between project teams, infrastructure support, QA, and release management to proactively identify and resolve potential environment-related issues. They will ensure that environment requirements are well understood, documented, and prioritized according to delivery timelines.
In addition to managing environment plans, the role includes overseeing and coordinating regular patching cycles for the organization's finance platform. This includes planning, scheduling, and executing patch deployments in close collaboration with technical teams, while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. A key success criterion for this function is achieving right-first-time delivery, minimizing rework and ensuring the quality and stability of patched environments.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, contributing to the team's goal of delivering high-quality environments that support seamless software development and release cycles.
Principal AccountabilitiesLiaise with Project and BAU Stakeholders to understand the required use of environments
Own and deliver access requests for non-production environments
Support overall Environment Management administration ensuring records are kept up to date
Liaise with teams to plan environment refresh activity and ensure communicate a) in advance of activity and b) to provide status updates during the activity
Produce Environment Management documentation and Processes
Oversee monthly and quarterly patching of our Finance platform
Govern the deployment of releases across Non-Production environments
