The Opportunity




We are looking for an Environmental Team Leader in our Bristol Office. You will bring in-depth knowledge of the SRO programme, alongside a working understanding of the RAPID process, Water Resources Management Planning (WRMP), and UK water regulation. You'll have experience supporting or leading SRO projects, from inception and feasibility stage and through technical delivery such as Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).


You'll use this experience to shape and grow our SRO-related service offering, develop strong partnerships with water companies and regulators, and help position Arup's Water business as a trusted advisor to water companies.


At the same time, you'll be responsible for leading and developing our Bristol Environment team. Business Development - Water & SRO Focus. Developing and growing our environmental offer in relation to SROs, working closely with water clients, technical teams and our water business leaders.

Is this role right for you?




We are looking for people with:

Chartered with a relevant professional body (e.g. CEnv, IEMA, CIWEM). A solid understanding of the regulatory, environmental, and planning landscape for water infrastructure, including SROs, RAPID, WRMP, and DCO processes. A background in one or more technical areas--such as environmental assessment, environmental management, or EIA. Experience leading environmental input on major infrastructure projects, ideally in the water or utilities sector. A track record of developing client relationships, winning work, and delivering successful bids and proposals.
