Where will you be working?





We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.


This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?



As our Environmental Advisor you'll be working collaboratively with other functions from early works and design through construction to commissioning. You'll proactively engage with operational teams and client Environmental and Sustainability team to promote collaboration and ensuring projects meet environmental and sustainability requirements.

You'll be assisting the design team in the identification of environmental hazards and constraints. Engaging with third party and sub-contractors to deliver environmental and ecological surveys, planning permissions, permits and consents to enable construction.

You'll provide advice and guidance on environmental and sustainability initiatives, solutions and encourage continual improvement through proactive engagement with operational teams. You'll be regularly visiting sites to conduct inspections and incident investigations.

You'll develop waste and environmental management plans, environmental risk assessments and where necessary. Assist the operational team in the identification, and implementation of suitable control measures, training and briefings.

You'll need to compile environmental and sustainability reports and maintain regular reporting mechanisms.

You'll be the point of contact and liaise with client team.

What you'll bring




+ Do you hold a recognised environmental qualification with experience as an Environmental Advisor in a construction environment?
+ Do you have experience of supporting environmental surveys and design mitigation, liaison and coordination of diverse teams of environmental and ecological specialists to deliver construction projects?
+ Do you have experience of bio diversity and carbon reporting?
+ Can you demonstrate passion for the Environment and Sustainability, driving innovation and an ability and desire to positively influence and develop those around them?
+ Do you hold a clean valid driving Licence? this is essential for this role
+ Are you willing to obtain CSCS card and EUSR, National Water Hygiene Water qualifications?
