We currently have a vacancy for an Environmental Consultant in our Hampshire office. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the management of contaminated land project work which could include domestic and commercial spill response, investigation, remediation and validation of brownfield sites and pollution incidents, and provision of environmental consultancy services to a wide range of clients. You may also be required to assist with the provision of expert witness services to local, national and international solicitors.
It is essential that applicants have the following skills and experience:
Recent experience of working in a similar role as we require someone who can work independently and manage projects from the start.
Experience of managing or mentoring junior staff would also be beneficial.
It is essential that you have a degree in a relevant subject, and a good working knowledge of contaminated land legislation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills would also be beneficial as you will need to work closely with our clients and other interested parties.
A good working knowledge of health and safety is essential. Relevant qualifications, such as SMSTS, would be beneficial.
Willing to work outside in various weather conditions and be physically able to perform field work such as hand digging, augering, lifting and moving equipment etc.
Willing to travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
A full valid driving licence
The right to work in the UK.
Willing to apply for a DBS check, at our expense.
