Job Description

Overview


Centralised role consolidating all responsibilities, objectives and initiatives relating to sustainability and environmental management at FMUK, including Carbon Neutrality and ISO14001. Includes centralising data related to FMUK's current energy efficiency performance, working with customers and suppliers to improve FMUK's carbon footprint and networking, gaining funding to drive improvement activities at our Burnley site, development/maintenance of FMUK's carbon neutrality roadmap, and all sustainability/material related surveys and reporting for FMUK's customers.

Responsibilities

:

Creation, development, agreement, implementation and maintenance of a Carbon Neutrality roadmap for FMUK (aligned with both Futaba Head Office and FMUK Customers) Interface and support to SMT for all sustainability topics, including any implications pertaining to the Carbon Neutrality roadmap ISO14001 Lead (management, standards adherence, reporting etc.) Create centralised repositories for all relevant data to make it easy to handle when and where required ESOS Reporting + Action Plan co-ordination SECR Reporting + Data collation SECR Scope 3 Strategy Conflict Minerals Reporting Substance of Concern (SOC) Reporting IMDS Management for all FMUK products and materials Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation (such as environmental legislation) and implement required changes internally whilst escalating to Senior Management Carry out Energy monitoring and data collation to drive improvement Engage a network of "like" Businesses for info sharing Maximise Carbon Offsetting opportunities at both production sites Work with local engineering and environmental teams to drive Improvement activities Review site waste streams and work with 3rd parties to seek improvement opportunities Create / review and ensure adherence to all relevant site environmental policies Support and champion responsible purchasing policies Seek Grants + Opportunities for Projects with local councils / government Single point of contact for all customer / supplier liaison for environmental aspects + reporting Lead and complete all customer surveys pertaining to sustainability and/or materials utilising factual centralised data Lead and complete all supplier/supply-base surveys pertaining to sustainability and/or materials Represent FMUK alongside management at local info sharing / networking events Co-ordinate legislation driven material changes Compliance checks

Working Hours:



A 38 hour week consisting of -

Monday to Thursday 08:00am until 17:00pm

Fridays 08:00am until 12:00pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 17 months

Pay: 35,000.00-39,000.00 per year
