We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Lead to drive forward sustainability commitments for a newly acquired customer.
This is a pivotal role embedded within the account, guiding our customer towards achieving ambitious sustainability goals across a diverse estate throughout England.
You will play a key part in shaping and delivering sustainability milestones, ensuring that our commitments are met and exceeded.
In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, frameworks, and reporting processes.
You will work closely with stakeholders to embed best practices, foster engagement, and deliver measurable environmental outcomes.
This position requires a proactive approach to managing sustainability initiatives, building strong relationships, and ensuring compliance with agreed objectives and targets.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and lead the delivery of sustainability services in line with the contract specification.
Develop and implement the Sustainability Management Plan, monitor progress, and ensure all reporting requirements are met.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with the customer, ISS teams, and key stakeholders.
Design and oversee reporting and assurance processes for sustainability performance.
Support the development and delivery of sustainability-related training materials, eLearning, and webinars.
Establish governance frameworks and engage senior stakeholders to keep sustainability plans relevant and updated.
Recruit and onboard additional roles required for successful sustainability delivery.
Embed a digital approach to CSR and sustainability reporting across the portfolio.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Strong sustainability background; social value experience desirable.
Client-facing experience with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Degree qualified in a relevant scientific, engineering, or energy/environmental discipline.
UK driving licence required (regional travel around London and Milton Keynes).
