We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to oversee our operations and ensure the efficient functioning of our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and a solid understanding of materials handling. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of production and ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day during onsite training and moving to the afternoon shift of 2pm to 10pm. This position is hourly paid based on experience and qualifications and the position may require flexibility for the efficient and effective running of the department.
Report to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, operating and driving continuous quality improvement and reporting KPI's
This position requires tool-setting, operation, start-up, set-up, shut-down, trouble shooting and maintenance of Expanded Polyethylene equipment.
Duties
Supervise EPE Extrusion line according to precise specifications and maintain the production continuity
Set up, operate and troubleshoot all equipment, test daily operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to team members based on their skills and experience.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, ensuring they are maintained in good working order.
Train new employees on operational procedures
Troubleshoot issues related to machinery, providing solutions to minimise downtime.
Requirements
Proven experience in a EPE processes, set up, maintenance and operation
Proven experience in supervisory role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude, along with demonstrated troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions and feedback to team members.
