In 2020 LCP launched our Heath Analytics practice, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together scientists, HEOR experts, market access specialists, epidemiologists, clinicians, and health data specialists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions for the fundamental challenges in health.
Over the past five years we have built a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, health economic modelling, literature reviews and statistical analysis, market access strategy and innovative reimbursement design. We have been growing the team quickly in response to the demand we are seeing for the service offerings we have developed and now have a team of over 50 people working across three service areas of evidence generation, HEOR, and market access.
Our team's mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. This is underpinned by our approach to support clients to improve the population's health and reduce inequalities.
What's the role?
This is an opportunity for you to join a dynamic team at an exciting time in its growth and growing international presence. As an experienced hire this is also an opportunity to help shape the growth and development of the team.
You will play a key role in the design, analysis and reporting of studies using real world healthcare data, such as electronic healthcare records, registries and claims databases. We are looking for someone who can bring a high level of scientific rigor, is motivated to work at the cutting edge of methods and RWE study designs and is committed to going the extra mile for our clients.
Experience in a consulting or CRO is crucial and we are looking for you to provide excellent service to our clients through both technical expertise and delivery/project management excellence.
Examples of the types of projects that we undertake for our clients include:
Real world evidence studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks and databases, using global RWD sources
Advanced study designs including external comparators and quantitative bias analysis
Innovative approaches to identifying and quantifying unmet need and inequalities
Studies addressing post authorisation regulatory commitments and other analyses supporting health authority questions
Manuscript writing
What will you be doing?
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in epidemiology
Lead aspects of the design and delivery of RWE studies, including:
+ Study design
+ Protocol development
+ Project management
+ Quality control
+ Report and manuscript writing Oversee and review the work of other members of the team and support their development, including:
+ Contribution to team learning and development
+ Contribution to the development of internal resources, tools and processes Contribute to developing advanced methods capabilities in this space
Demonstrate and develop your expertise by contributing to thought leadership activities
What experience, skills and qualities do you require?
Demonstrable experience in a relevant role, including experience in a Consultancy or CRO environment, combined with a health related Masters or PhD in epidemiology or a related speciality
An excellent grounding in relevant methods with demonstrated experience in conceptualising and delivering previous studies and projects
Experience in real world data from the US, UK, major EU markets and Japan
Experienced in project management, leading multidisciplinary teams and the execution of high-quality scientific work
Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills, as well as having the ability to explain complex issues to others
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task across different across client projects, project management of client engagements, and the mentoring and coordination of others in the team
Excellent Microsoft Office skills
Programming experience in R or Python and experience working with generative AI systems and tools is desirable
Initiative and creativity
Ability and desire to thrive in a growing and dynamic team
Experience of designing or carrying out studies to meet post authorisation regulatory commitments or evaluating risk minimisation measures is desirable
