Remote, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

###

Description

Emerald Publishing Services (EPS) provides an end-to-end publishing service for society and institutional journals.

The ultimate objective of this 12-week project is to develop our network of Journal Partners across all territories: every partnership is carefully considered, with every approach made bespoke to each individual customer, institution, journal and region so ongoing and deliberate review of the core market and potential stakeholders is essential.

As an intern supporting this project you will gain a clear understanding of the advantages and challenges of the Diamond open access model, as well as quickly obtain a working understanding of the EPS workflow to identity suitable partnerships. You will develop and engage with market research skills, sales pitch writing and presentation of data sets.

There are 3 stages identified to the workflow:

1. Review and collate data

2. Process and present data internally

3. Facilitate how best to utilise the data

This internship will last 12 weeks.

The role requires basic knowledge of Microsoft tools (for example Excel), a desire to learn about the publishing editorial workflow, a keen attention to detail and decent English-language writing skills. Enthusiasm for academic publishing and/or social science content is desirable.###
